HERE IS WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT GETTING TO SRC

We now know more than ever how difficult it can be to plan for things like travel during the current climate. We want you all to know that with SRC approaching, we’re doing everything we can to take the hard work out of what should be a fun and exciting time for you! We cannot wait to bring SRC to the Gold Coast this March.
To help keep your decisions as clear and informed as possible, we’ve put together a quick breakdown of the current Covid rules and regulations regarding travel to Queensland.

It’s important to remember that these rules and regulations are ever changing, and that the best way to navigate through these unprecedented times is to continue to check for updates on State regulated websites.

From 1am Saturday 15 January 2022, domestic travellers are able to travel to Queensland with no restrictions.

This means:

  • you will no longer need to apply for a border pass
  • a negative COVID-19 test will not be required to enter Queensland
  • there will be no requirement to quarantine if you are not vaccinated.

Once you are in Queensland, you will need to show proof of vaccination to enter non-essential venues. Find out more about restrictions for unvaccinated people.

From 1am Saturday 15 January 2022 Queensland’s domestic border restrictions for people entering Queensland from a hotspot are no longer in place. Other mandates requiring people to be fully vaccinated to be able to enter events and venues remain.

Queensland entry passes are no longer required for anyone travelling to Queensland from anywhere in Australia.

On December 17 2021, a number of restrictions were implemented for unvaccinated people. This is a Queensland Government Health Direction and applies to the Gold Coast Convention Centre and Movie World.

The new measures apply to everyone in Queensland whether a visitor or a resident. This means workers, clients and visitors must be double vaccinated to work in, or attend, any event held at the Gold Coast Convention Centre or Movie World. Vaccine certificates will be checked on entry to the venues in addition to checking in via the Queensland Government contact tracing app.

Keep up to date with the latest Queensland restrictions here.

We want you to know that we’re always here to listen to your concerns and queries, and that the health and safety of our community is always guiding our operations.
